Project in Innovation Area III: Disintegrative and cohesive forces in the Research Platform “Social Dynamics of Energy Transformation” within the Funding Program “Transformation of the Energy System in Lower Saxony” (TEN.efzn)
The TEN.efzn project is part of the research platform “Social Dynamics” and analyzes the effects of the energy transition in Lower Saxony. How is the energy transition changing the world of work, requirements of labor, and qualifications? What cohesive and disruptive forces are being set in motion here—and what are the labor-related prerequisites for the transformation of the energy system? The aim is to systematically link the sociological debate on labor and industry with the discussion on energy transformation and socio-ecological transformation. To this end, case studies are being developed in the industrial sector (automotive manufacturing and suppliers, as well as the steel industry) and enterprises of skilled crafts.
